Radiation Safety & MRI Precautions
- MRI is not suitable for patients with cardiac pacemakers, cochlear implants, or certain metal implants.
- CT contrast may cause allergic reactions. Inform staff of iodine or shellfish allergy.
- Patients with kidney disease must inform the radiologist before contrast scans.
- We follow the ALARA principle for all radiation‑based imaging.
- Lead aprons and thyroid shields protect non‑imaged body parts during X‑ray/CT.
